One of the ways we utilize donations is for our “Sweet Dreams Project”. We purchase sleeping bags for the type of weather outside and distribute them to people living on the streets that suffer from mental illness. Not everyone we see living on the streets had the ability to prevent their dire situation. Sometimes life can be very heavy. Sometime too heavy to withstand, especially for those who have mental problems. Protecting against the cold weather or from street predators, seeking shelter inside a sleeping bag gives those who need it, the sense of security, privacy, and comfort from the elements of the outdoors, and the elements of the streets. Hopefully, those seeing this post will never find themself in a situation that would call for the need of utilizing a sleeping bag out on the streets. Remember the “Golden Rule,” “Do unto others as you would have then do to you.” This also applies to how we treat each other in our daily lives. Don’t wait for someone to ask you for help. Seek them out and you will find them.
