I Just Don’t Know

I just don’t know. I don’t think you know either. It is quite fascinating that humans have always been so easy to convince. I do believe in God, but that’s as far as I can take it. I don’t know for sure anything else regarding that topic. I don’t know where God came from or how many God’s there are, if there are more than one? I wish I knew what God’s plan is. I often wonder why God started us out so primitive and then have us evolve slowly over time. Why did we start with such simple tools and simple devices. Why did we start with the horse and buggy, and know we drive Lamborghini’s. We went from a bow and arrow, to nuclear weapons. Will I wake up after I die, I don’t know. I hope I do, but I don’t know. The scientist say that the earth is 4.5 billion years old. How do they know? We hear all sorts of people telling us how things became, and how things operate. How the beginning began, and how and why people behave and think the way they do. I don’t know how people know how life began, millions and millions of years ago, but they say they do. They say life began from the ocean waters, and then slowly came out and onto the land, where all of the land animals started their evolution. From these creatures, from all over the planet’s waters, finally came the primates, who first evolved from small nocturnal insect-eating mammals, 65 million years ago. Some studies suggest that the earliest proto-primates originated in North America. Then, around 56 million years ago, the true primates evolved and dispersed from North America to Europe through the land mass Laurasia at the time. 25 million years ago, so they say, the “Great Split,” occurs and primates divide into two major lineages. Old world monkeys, and hominoids, the ancestor of all apes and humans. Now, all of these primates are wondering the planet, and around 7 million years ago, the final common ancestor shared between humans and chimpanzees splits again. One branch leads to modern chimps, and the other to hominids. (the human branch)

I’m not sure if anyone can tell us precisely what was going on 4.5 billion years ago, or 56 million years ago, or 25 million years ago, no matter what information they have obtained over the years. Did God sprinkle Homo Sapiens all over the planet at their earliest beginnings and they slowly developed to get smarter and smarter through tens of thousands of years. They say modern man came from Africa, and then “out of Africa,” they went, but if the primates that came from other species that evolved from all over the world, I’m not sure how we can be certain about an exact location of modern man’s beginning. Not that it matters, but science seems to always be evolving itself. You also have hundreds of thousands of years, if not millions of years, where the extreme weather of hurricane’s, earthquakes, mud slides, avalanches, fires, floods, tornados, extreme wind conditions that over time, could have buried evidence of a different scenario of our past history. People will lay on a sword believing the word of others. It is amazing that we as humans, sometimes only believe what we want to believe, even if the person telling us these theories, or these stories, sounds like nothing more than a snake oil salesman. No matter if the subject is religion, science, history, how life began, or just someone telling us on how to live a better life, you can believe whatever you choose to believe.

As for me, I just don’t know.
